RCS&RDS gains new private-equity investor

RCS&RDS, the Romanian telecommunications company and cable operator, has secured a fresh investment from a private-equity firm, New Media Markets has learned. The new investor - understood to be Goldman Sachs's private-equity arm - is believed to have paid in the region of ∈150 million (￡120.19 million) for a stake in part of the company. News of the move comes amid mounting speculation that RCS&RDS would sell a package of shares to secure funds following the cancellation of its listing on the London Stock Exchange in November last year.
