Orr visits Thameslink programme

Network Rail's Thameslink programme was showcased for ICE president David Orr on 19 September. The Thameslink programme involves extensive works at Farringdon, Blackfriars and London Bridge and current estimates see the project costing ￡5.5bn. The programme will deliver: new stations at Blackfriars and London Bridge, increased capacity with trains 50% longer, plus new trains and platform extensions to 50 stations outside central London.
