Tsing Ma Bridge and Lantau link

Tsing Ma Bridge is the centrepiece of the 3.5km long Lantau Link, connecting Hong Kong Island with the international airport. With an overall length of 2,160m and a main span of 1,377m, Tsing Ma carries a six lane highway on the top deck and a twin track railway plus two emergency road lanes on the sheltered lower deck. Lantau Link also includes the 430m cable stayed Kap Shui Mun Bridge. 1. Air and sea traffic To provide shipping clearance the deck of Tsing Ma Bridge is 62m above mean water level, while aviation requirements demanded relatively short towers, standing 206m tall.
