A host of famous faces visited the ICE's One Great George Street headquarters during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer. One Great George Street was one of the London Media Centres for the Games, hosting 8,000 journalists. Visitors included celebrity chefs Jamie Oliver, Heston Blumenthal and Marcus Wareing who attended press conferences to talk to the media about British cuisine. Olympic heroes past and present including the most decorated Olympian of all time Michael Phelps, plus Laura Trott, Paula Radcliffe and Lennox Lewis also attended press conferences at the ICE. London mayor Boris Johnson, London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games chairman Lord Coe and Jeremy Hunt, now health secretary, were also regular visitors.
