Cautious welcome for new planning proposals for UK

ICE director general Nick Bavey stock has welcomed the British government's drastically scaled down national planning frame work but warned that its localism agenda must not obstruct efficient infrastructure delivery. His comments follow a year of work by the ICE to strength en provisions in the Localism Bill and draft versions of the new framework to protect infrastruc ture planning and development.
