In this study I will consider the question of the reshaping of children’s literature on the African continent and in doing so, I will focus on three aspects in particular: the place of children and young people in African literature from the 1990s to the present; how the-matics and perspective have developed in literature for children and youths; lastly, the question of a new context for the diffusion of literature coupled with new market interests, the role and impact these texts have on the public.
