NEXT GENERATION NETWORK VISION AND NETWORK SOLUTIONS

PROGRESSIVE UNITY is a general term of NEC network solutions for next generation information networks. The PROGRESSIVE UNITY leads carriers (network operators) to a satisfied business environment where they can solve the recent problem facing to an explosion of data traffic to handle in an efficient and quality way. It also enables carriers to provide end-users a big variety of value-added services envisaged in the future information network community. It is a matter of concern for a carrier to chose a fundamental network architecture towards the next generation; whether he should concentrate on an IP service based architecture or enhance his existing voice networks by migrating to IP service networks. This paper describes a next generation network vision followed by introducing a series of network soluttios which are flexible and best suited to carriers' needs.
