ASNE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The participants in the short courses offered by ASNE are typically professional, practicing naval engineers with careers in progress. These are adult learners ranging in age from 2$ to 65 years. They are proficient in their use of technology, and juggle the demands of full-time positions, families, and hobbies while they pursue professional development in the workshop/ seminar setting. Nearly all will have engineering undergraduate degrees, and it is likely that many will have advanced degrees as well. Most participate to gain knowledge in a specific area highly pertinent to their job. On occasion, a short course is developed as part of a set of related courses, to be taken in a series, that form the basis of a certificate program.
