The scientific research community in Dresden is the outcome of a most exciting experiment in the life sciences: With an exceptional pace, the Dresden research scene developed into a hot spot in biomedicine and molecular bioengineering in Europe. Today, Dresden provides an exciting and challenging scientific environment, with outstanding research opportunities in numerous international groups, which are housed in modern buildings with state-of-the art laboratories and facilities. The interdisciplinary spirit is obviously manifested in many networking activities between the Dresden University of Technology (TUD) and non-University institutions.
