Telomerase complex synthesis

Telomerase, a complex containing protein and RNA components, lengthens the sequence-repetitive telomere caps on the ends of chromosomes. Its activity is altered in cancer and some degenerative diseases. The processing steps required to generate the mature form of the RNA are not well understood.
