摘要

Word sense disambiguation is the process of identifying correct sense in context. Ambiguity of word is a problem in Natural Language Processing. The purpose of word sense disambiguation is to automatically determine specific meaning of word in specific context so that computer can identify it. To identify correct sense, Lesk algorithm is used. This is the overlapped based approach where it does overlapping of words to find correct sense of word. In Lesk algorithm, when correct meaning of ambiguous word for given sentence cannot be get because Lesk's approach is very sensitive to the exact words of definitions, so the absence of a certain word can radically change the results. This paper introduce a methodology which gives more importance to neighborhood words of the word to be disambiguate as its meaning is most probably depend on neighborhood words, which Lesk algorithm does not gives.
