Guardsmen Deliver Packages To Ethiopian Girls Orphanage

Life is a little better for the girls at an orphanage in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia, thanks to 3rd Squadron, 124th Cavalry, and the generosity of people back home. The Texas Army National Guard soldiers, now assigned to Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, delivered nine boxes of hygiene products and other supplies to the orphanage last month. Bad weather in Ethiopia has decreased the availability of such items in recent months, said Capt. Brett Anderson, the unit chaplain.
