The U.S. Department of Energy is tapping Virginia Tech expertise in fuel-cell materials as part of the $85.7-million clean-energy science and technology initiative. In addition to being one of five universities receiving grants, Virginia Tech is helping one of the 18 organizations receiving research funds.
