Ufology investigation focused primarily on flying saucers, or unidentified flying objects (UFOs), through the 1940s to the '60s. Highly unusual spaceships could be seen in the sky. Then, in the 1960s, with disbelief, the abduction of humans became associated with the witnessing of those UFOs. Soon, negating known science, investigators learned from the accounts provided by acknowledged abductees that spaceships, extraterrestrials and abduction might be completely hidden to sight. Evidently, invisibility, seemingly provided through cloaking technology of extraordinary capability, was employed because, though people were in the immediate vicinity when abduction took place, no one witnessed anything.
