Keep an Open Mind; New Ideas Replace Old Ones

Since I am a physicist and not a psychiatrist, I have tried to seek other than psychiatric causes for the virulent anti-ufological attitudes of the small but very vocal UFO debunker community. One that recently came to mind, that I hadn't thought of before, is that they really don't seem aware of the truly enormous changes that have occurred in our understanding of the world around us in the last 200 years or so, with many coming in the last 70 years. If one isn't fully aware of the changes in the recent past, than one may not be ready to accept the notion that there will still be many more in the future and that others may be a great deal ahead of us technologically and hopefully sociologically.
