Dear Editor: I noticed that articles within the November 2011 MUFON UFO Journal would describe possible UFOs sighted over Kansas City-but did not make clear whether this was Kansas City, MO, or Kansas City, KS. The reason for my interest is that Kansas City, MO, is cited many times by the early-day American Mormon Joseph Smith (1805-1844) who called the area around Kansas City, MO, and adjacent Independence, the City of Zion or future New Jerusalem to be built at the key site by Mormons sometime in the future. In 1820,14-year-old farm boy Joseph Smith was praying in a wooded clearing near Palmyra, NY.
