For northern hemisphere observers Mercury will begin the month rising above the east-southeast horizon about 1 1/2 hours before sunrise and will be standing low above the southeast horizon at sunrise; by month's end Mercury will be rising above the east-southeast horizon about 3/4 hours before sunrise and will be standing low above the east-southeast horizon at sunrise. For southern hemisphere observers Mercury will begin the month rising above the east-southeast horizon about 2 hours before sunrise and will be standing low above the eastern horizon at sunrise; by month's end Mercury will be rising above the east-southeast horizon about 1 1/4 hours before sunrise and will be standing above the eastern horizon at sunrise.
