The sobering headlines continue to shock our senses. Our industry is experiencing a relentless and steady stream of fatal accidents involving employees and vehicles. In both March and April 2016, there were at least 10 fatal incidents in the United States involving the waste industry, according to data collected by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) These incidents have involved both public- and private-sector employees, and they've occurred at companies both large and small.
