The bow of the "Tight Linez" lifted ever so slightly as the twin MTU diesels wound up in response to the throttles. The historic lighthouse at New Jersey's Barnegat Inlet faded in our waKe as the boat accelerated to 24 knots and settled into the four-foot head seas, riding the waves with little more than a gentle rise and fall. The new Michael Peters hull with recessed prop pockets made for a pleasant trip to the Carteret Canyon.
