The name Bose is best known for creating high-performance audio products, but its research activities go well beyond sound. Bose research technologies extend from regulating electric power in airplanes and controlling fuel rods inside nuclear reactors to building testing machines for medical devices. And for more than two decades, Bose also has been developing a new automobile suspension system. While no automaker has yet indicated it will use the Bose concept, this new design shows how, once again, electronic control is improving the breed.
