New refinery additions that are planned in the Atlantic Basin in the coming years could alter traditional trade flows in the region and impact on the clean tanker market. Some of these projects are being built in countries that are currently prominent product importers. However, there is no guarantee that all of these facilities will come on line as investment till needs to be secured.
