Historic Pricing Agreements

Iron ore markets have followed coking coal in moving from the long established annual contract system to quarterly pricing. This was confirmed in a series of announcements by the major mining companies in late March/ early April. Although price details were absent from these statements, it appears that that the agreed levels eclipse the record fob annual contract prices settled in 2008 of around $90/t.
