Radical Train highlights innovation contradictions

Following on from the issue of weight, how about this for a mission statement? 'To create a portfolio of demonstrator projects that are focused on delivering a radical step change improvement in the performance of Rail Vehicles in the UK'. That is the aim of the Radical Train, a 'key project' in the Enabling Innovation Team (EIT) portfolio. The EIT is a DfT-funded and led group aimed at dragging Britain's railway and its suppliers into the 21st century.
