David Rollin retires

1 March saw the end of an era at Derby-based rail consultancy Interfleet Technology, as long-serving Managing Director David Rollin retired. After for ming Interfleet in 1994, Mr Rollin led a management buy-out of the company in March 1996. Interfleet quadrupled turnover in the first five years of his tenure, and increased profitability by over 50%. It also launched an international strategy, opening offices around the globe. Befor e his successes with Interfleet, Mr Rollin was previously Director of Projects in the InterCity Sector of British Rail, where he was responsible for directing work on new and refurbished traction and rolling stock, with the IC225 project one of his personal triumphs.
