MORE RESTORING YOUR RAILWAY PROJECTS FUNDED

THE GOVERNMENT has confirmed feasibility funding for a further 15 projects as part of its Restoring your Railway competition, as well as New Stations Fund support for three new stations. A first round of Restoring your Railway projects was confirmed in May, featuring 10 proposals. The second round is likewise from the Ideas fund towards feasibility studies to inform decisions on further development, and the successful projects were named in the Government's National Infrastructure Strategy, published with the Spending Review on 25 November. Each will receive up to £50,000 for assessment to provide a basis for decisions on further development.
