Governor Lists $533 Million in Projects For BP to Fund to Restore Natural Resources

HOUSTON—Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) has unveiled a $533 million list of coastal projects the state wants BP to fund out of the $1 billion promised for early restoration of damaged natural resources resulting from the April 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The projects, which the governor July 11 called the "Louisiana Plan," would restore coastal areas, fisheries, and oyster seed grounds.
