To form interlocking loads that are secure for shipping, a compact palletizer automatically accumulates and stacks plastic totes or returnable plastic containers. The system features a tier alignment positioning mechanism that gently jogs each layer during stacking to interlock with the previous layer. After depositing the layer, the mechanism automatically squares the pallet to ensure shipping stability. The system operates at floor level, eliminating the need to build overhead platforms. To simplify maintenance, the machine features clean, open construction and low-level access points. All functions-infeed, accumulation, stacking, full pallet exit and automatic changeover-are operated by programmable logic control accessed by touchscreen to ensure precise operation and simplified control.
