Real-time system keeps up with growth

Since it opened in 1992, production at Carolina Foods' Bladen County, N.C., facility has grown from 14,000 to 28,000 hogs/day. Concurrently, operations have expanded from being primarily a pork processing plant to serving as the central warehousing/distribution center for Smithfield Packing Company as well.
