摘要

Laminar flow of elastico-viscous liquids through parallel and uniformly porous plates of different permeability has been studied when both the plates are equally stretched. The main objective of this problem is to study the flow characteristics of a visco-elastic liquid when the channel walls are stretched which is significantly relevant to the continuous extrusion processes used in manufacturing of sheets and fibres in glass and polymer industries. The effects of Λ (elastic number), R_2 (Reynolds number) and α (suction velocity ratio) have been discussed with the help of graphs and tables and some interesting results are presented as special case.
