Haringey highlights dangers after social worker stabbing

The 61-year-old man suffered the injuries while attempting to check the welfare of children at a house in the north London borough.He was taken to hospital with twn police officers; who also suffered knife injuries, though none are life-threatening.Ajoint statement from Haringey LBC's leader Cllr Peray Ahmet and chief executive Zina Etheridge said: 'This type of incident, while rare, is an important reminder that frontline staff across the public sector put themselves in harm's way to do their jobs and we should all express our thanks and support for them as they do so.'They added the council was providing support to the social worker and wider teams.
