Forum to discuss levelling up and the Northern Powerhouse

Chief executives from northern England will debate the levelling up agenda and the future of the Northern Powerhouse at a virtual event next month. Local government bosses from cities including Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Bradford, Wigan and Salford will join The MJ's annual Future Forum North, which will take place over two days on 17 and 18 March. Speakers include Baroness Casey of Blackstock, director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies Paul Johnson, chief executive of NHS Providers Chris Hopson, and chief executive of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy Rob Whiteman.There will be sessions on infrastructure investment, health and care, the March Budget and planning for the post-pandemic era.
