Torfaen CBC's chief executive has announced her retirement. Alison Ward joined the council in 2002 and has served as its CEO since 2004. She previously held roles at Neath Port Talbot CBC and West Glamorgan Council in a 31-year career in local authorities, in addition to receiving a CBE for services to local government in 2011. Ms Ward has also served on the board of Public Health Wales, the Prince's Trust and Canal & River Trust, as chief executive for the South East Wales Regional Partnership Board, chair of the chief executives group of the Cardiff City Region City Deal and of Solace Wales.
