摘要

Councils have been asked to review their plans and ensure every rough sleeper is offered somewhere safe to go to help protect them from COVID-19. All councils will have to update their rough sleeping plans by the end of the year, providing an overview of their support. They will also be asked to carry out a rapid assessment of need for everyone they accommodate and to consider time-limited interventions for those rough sleeping now or new to street homelessness. A further £15m has been allocated to provide accommodation for rough sleepers, with areas that have high numbers of rough sleepers such as London, Bristol and Brighton and Hove first in line for extra support as the cold weather arrives. The Everyone In campaign, which has helped move more than 19,000 people into settled accommodation, will continue.
