There are plenty of great local authority services - and what better place to promote them than through The MJ Local Government Achievement Awards 2009 - whose deadline for receipt of entries on 16 January is fast approaching. Councils and their partners will need to complete their entries of up to 2000 words and a summary, when they return from the seasonal break. There are 16 categories: Best Achieving; PPP; Children's Services; Energy Efficiency; Regeneration; Reducing Health Inequalities; Legal; Councillor Development; Facilities and Asset Management; Public Protection; Most Effective Political Team; More People, More Active, More Often; People and Workforce; Service Innovation in Health and Social Care; Diversity; Sustainable Transport Strategy.
