As Chief Executive of a hugely diverse inner city borough I am fully aware of the great challenges and opportunities that face us here in Lambeth. I see my own role as leading, supporting and directing Lambeth to be continuously better for all our citizens and I expect to be demanding of myself and my staff. If you consider two statements from our vision and mission: 'Working in partnership to make Lambeth a great place' and 'Tackling inequality and social exclusion' you will start to understand my own motivation for being here. I want my managers and my staff to respond to the challenge of these statements and bring a sense of passion to their work.
