Delivering the public agenda

There is no such thing as an ill wind, apparently. And, for at least one major private sector supplier, tight constraints on public spending are an opportunity and not just a threat. According to Peter Martin, chief executive of the seven-year-old consultancy and support services company Tribal, the big agenda for local government means a greater need for the kind of external expertise companies such as his can provide. As he explains: 'Public sector organisations have such a huge agenda, but without the resources to undertake it. For organisations like ourselves, this presents an opportunity to be supporting and helping them on an advisory basis.'
