As if the challenges facing public healthprofessionals in local government, atPublic Health England and the NHSweren’t already huge for 2020.Inequalities and ‘the health gap’, preventionand mental health were all top priorities at thebeginning of the year, but sweeping aside allthis is an emergency the UN has called ‘theworst crisis since World War Two’. One thingis certain, COVID-19 will have implications formany years to come.
