Services for an outstanding place

East Riding of Yorkshire's reputation for excellence now stretches right across the council, with its Youth Offending Service (YOS) becoming the first to be rated 'outstanding'. In May, HM Inspectorate Of Probation made the council the first in England and Wales to be awarded full marks in an official inspection. One again, the accolade marked a significant service improvement for the authority. Chief Inspector of Probation Dame Glenys Stacey said: 'East Riding YOS has made steady and continuous progress since our previous inspections.
