You will need to provide strong and effective leadership, enabling staff to make the right decisions for our residents and oversee effective financial controls. In particular, you will need to bring about substantial changes to the way we meet the needs of our residents. This will need to be achieved within the context of the financial constraints all local authorities are now facing. Our strong commitment to integration underpins our approach to service provision and the role has accountability to the CCG as well as to the Council. You will need a deep understanding of how to commission excellent social care and health services, and the rigour and management grip to improve performance.
