摘要

Two awful events of the last week have affected me profoundly and made me think about the importance of our work in local government. First there was the murder of 49 people in a gay club in Orlando. This brought back memories of the Admiral Duncan bomb in Soho 17 years ago when another crazed hate-filled individual snuffed out the lives of three people, one a pregnant woman, and injured many others simply because they were assumed to be gay.
