Weymouth & Portland BC could leave the Dorset Waste Partnership (DWP) after the local authority rejected plans to back a plan to turn it around. The borough council's management committee rejected a 37-point action plan to improve the under-fire waste partnership on 7 April, despite the proposals being approved last month by members of at the DWP joint committee, which represents all seven authorities in the county.
