County to commisson 85% of services by 2018

Worcestershire CC is planning to commission 85% of its services from partners and other organisations by 2018, according to official papers. An update on the council's FutureFit restructuring plans, which went before Worcestershire's corporate and communities overview and scrutiny committee on 4 November, states the local authority plans to 'commission significantly more of our services'. The county council has already transferred several services to external groups, including its moving ICT service to Hewlett-Packard.
