Elections success for Grant Thornton's public sector head

Sarah Howard, head of public sector assurance at accountancy firm Grant Thrornton has topped the poll of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy's 2013/14 council elections. First elected to council in 2011 Ms Howard secured 1,118 votes and was reelected as the council's representative for the statutory external audit sector. Ms Howard was closely matched by Hants CC director of corporate resources Carolyn Williamson who received 1,106 votes and Jayne Stephenson, Tameside BC's head of partnerships, performance and community safety who polled 1,030 votes.
