Anglesey 'able to handle its own affairs'

Anglesey Council has 'turned a corner' as the Welsh Government hands control back to its members, according to the authority's chief executive. Welsh local government minister Lesley Griffiths announced last week that the council will be able to manage its own affairs formally from 31 May onwards, following improvements at the authority. The Welsh Government put five commissioners in charge of the council in 2011, after years of political infighting.
