Cardiff City Council chief executive Jon House has announced he is to leave the authority in the summer to join consultants PricewaterhouseCoopers. Former policeman Mr House, who worked previously at Bristol and before that for the police in Sheffield, joined Cardiff in 2010, replacing Byron Davies. In a statement he said: 'I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as chief executive of Cardiff Council and have over the last three years worked with some fantastic staff and councillors. I have also appreciated the support from local partners in the city, surrounding councils and the Welsh Government.'
