University launches shared services course

The UK's first postgraduate qualification in public sector shared services has been created at a university in Kent, on the back of spending cuts. The shared services programme at Canterbury Christ Church University, is for pub- lic sector managers 'wanting to study the effective design and management of shared service initiatives within their sector.' The six month, part-time course, will provide the knowledge and skills to initiate and develop shared service projects, with the potential to save employers thousands of pounds, says the university.
