Sector's tribute to Jo Cox MP

Local government reacted with deep shock and sadness at the death of Labour MP Jo Cox last week. As a new member of the Communities and Local Government Committee, Ms Cox asked the Local Government Information Unit (LGiU) think-tank to brief her a couple of times. The LGiU said she was 'insightful, intelligent and principled' and called the murder a 'direct attack on our democratic freedoms'.
