Services merger a step closer

The first step towards creating a combined corporate service for two neighbouring councils has been taken. Cheshire West and Chester Council chief executive Steve Robinson and leader Mike Jones met with Wirral BC chief executive Graham Burgess and leader Phil Davies to sign a concordat declaring the authorities' intentions to merge £69 m of back office services.
