Top sector think-tanks appoint experts to push localist agenda

It was all change at two local government think-tanks last week as new chiefs were announced.The New Local Government Network (NLGN) revealed it had appointed Simon Parker as its director, while LOCALIS said Alex Thomson would be its new chief executive.Mr Parker is a former journalist who joins the NLGN from the Institute for Government. He was previously head of public services at Demos.
