Communities cutting carbon

Four small Kent communities are piloting a project to cut carbon dioxide emissions, with Kent CC's backing. The low-carbon communities project involves Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey, Elham near Folkestone, Hadlow near Ton-bridge, and St Margaret's-at-Cliffe near Dover. They have been picked to represent different areas of Kent, and each is led by different organisations - a school, community, college and business -with the aim of turning to low-carbon lifestyles. The first of the projects has involved the launch of Elham environment group in the village school.
